"Wired": This is Why the Mona Lisa Is Smiling

04 Nov 2010

In ‘Wired’, men and women who contribute towards making Goppion great are defined “carpenters of memory”. This epithet springs from the pen of Raffaele Oriani, author in the monthly magazine dedicated to new technologies, of the article, “This is Why the Mona Lisa Is Smiling”.

From WIRED, November 2010

“At the Goppion Laboratorio Museotecnico, just a few minutes outside the centre of Milan, glass armour protecting the British Crown Jewels, Crazy Horse’s Jacket and the painting Il Quarto Stato by Pellizza da Volpedo is created: from the most expert thief to the tiniest drop of humidity”.
