"Portrait of Fra Luca Pacioli and an Unknown Young Man” attributed to Jacopo de’ Barbari, starring Alessandro and Bruno Goppion for the #gettymuseumchallenge. The glass rhombicuboctahedron was custom made in the Goppion workshop for the occasion, bringing to life what 500 years ago was an unthinkable, magical idea.

Fra Luca Pacioli (1447 – 1517) was an Italian mathematician. His famous volume, the Divina proporzione, was illustrated by Leonardo Da Vinci and covers mathematical and artistic proportion, especially the mathematics of the golden ratio and its application in architecture.
