Not only museums...

The latest exclusive creation to come out of the collaboration between architect and designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte and Goppion s.p.a., a worldwide leader in exhibition systems that counts the display cases for the Crown Jewels and the Mona Lisa among its works, isn’t a museum display case. It’s a display case for prestigious wines.

As longstanding partners in museum projects – there’s the recent Rijksmuseum of Amsterdam project, for example - Wilmotte and Goppion have now come up with a wine case called

Cellarium. This small wine display case will be on show at the Salone del Mobile in Milan from April 14 to April 19 at the Galleria Rossella Colombari.

The refined and elegant Cellarium has been designed to be a real wunderkammer and built according to the highest standards of airtightness and climate control using the same principles we use to conserve the masterpieces of humanity in museums. Meant for collectors and connoisseurs that want to keep and display their wines in the best possible conditions, Cellarium differentiates itself from the typical wine refrigerator with glass doors. It is truly gracious in style thanks to the use of raw materials and little portholes that offer a look at the treasures inside. Cellarium is a true treasure chest for precious nectars, and even has a wooden cigar box inside.

The bottles, which are kept in the same perfect conditions as in a real cantina, are displayed as they await being opened and tasted. Thanks to an air circulation system that has been especially created and perfect temperature control for conserving wines, this innovative case is sure to win over even the most demanding connoisseurs.
