IIC 2014 Hong Kong Congress

Goppion is pleased to announce its participation in the 25th biennial IIC Congress in Hong Kong (22-26 September 2014), An Unbroken History: Conserving East Asian Works of Art and Heritage.

The Congress has for the first time been organized in a sub-tropical region, which brings its own, very particular problems of preventive conservation, and will focus on how conservation helps to retain or recover and then communicate the messages that East Asian art and heritage contain. It will also address how the history and meaning of this art and heritage affects the decision-making processes and the course of conservation treatments. We will discuss and examine different conservation approaches and methodologies as applied to the treatment of a wide range of objects and materials.

Our technicians in the Goppion stand will present the company’s latest achievements characterized by significant studies and innovations in the field of preventive conservation, especially in terms of climate control and low-emission materials from which the cases are made.
