Goppion presents the new Mv Class

13 Jun 2016

Goppion is pleased to present the Mv Class, a new, full line of modular and sectional exhibition units that can be easily disassembled for museums and temporary exhibitions.

The system includes showcases, bases, panels and accessories, designed to be easily assembled even by untrained staff: they are manufactured with strong, durable and easily moveable materials.

Mv Class meets museums’ requirements for a flexible, changeable and reusable system to install temporary exhibitions of every kind, with characteristics and materials that are suitable for preventive conservation.

Essential features of the Mv Class:

  • modularity. This is the most important factor for the product's excellent quality/price ratio, because it reduces design costs, makes scale production of technical components possible, simplifies assembly operations and cuts down transportation costs.
  • adaptability. Exhibition units that have different shapes, functions and dimensions can be matched and assembled.
  • expandability. The above features allow the initial exhibition units to be expanded over time.
  • interchangeability. Having interchangeable structural and technical components (ceiling, base plate) enables display cases to be "updated" and adjustable for the exhibition of works and different types of objects.
  • functionality. The essential design, whose form is driven by its functionality, cuts down production costs and guarantees that the system elements can fit any context and type of exhibition, and are a perfect match with any previous outfitting.
  • easy assembly/disassembly. The easy assembly of the components makes mounting and dismounting showcases and other exhibition units possible even for untrained staff. A storage rack, specifically designed and supplied with the display cases, allows easy storage after disassembly.

The strength and durability of the materials, the excellent air-tightness performance, the option to include custom-made technical equipment (microclimate, lighting system...), and the complete absence of harmful emissions from the components also make Mv Class display cases perfectly suitable for permanent installations in museums that require quality and high conservation, safety, easy use performance, even on a limited budget.

A successful fusion of Goppion’s vast experience working with the world’s most important museums, its process of continued research and innovation in its Laboratorio Museotecnico, and the need to limit consumption and costs (a particularly desirable feature today), Mv Class exhibition units have been tested and installed successfully in the new MEG - Musée d’Ethnographie de Genève.
