Goppion is pleased to announce that Alessandro Goppion, the owner and chief executive of Goppion S.p.A., has been nominated as a Cavaliere del Lavoro (akin to a knighthood or induction into the order of merit for work) by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.

Goppion was founded in 1952 in Milan as a small glassworks. Thanks to Alessandro Goppio’s dedication, today that company is a leader in the industry of museum installations and a worldwide ambassador of “Made in Italy” as applied to culture.

“I would like to thank the President of the Republic and the Minister for this prestigious recognition – said Goppion – which I am particularly flattered about considering that I’ve dedicated my life to my work, and that I continuously renew my commitment – via our work in the museum industry - to making Italy a cultural reference point worldwide. I would like to share this title with all of Goppion’s employees. With their ideas, designs and passion, every day they take on the ever more complex and global challenges put before us by the museum world.”

Organization and know-how, as Alessandro likes to call it - at Goppion, experts from all disciplines and various nationalities work together to create important projects for the protection and promotion of worldwide cultural heritage, bringing together technological research and innovation, technical excellence and precision craftsmanship.

By making its experience and expertise available to the best designers in the world, Goppion has brought to life exclusive creations that protect some of the most important masterpieces of humanity, from the Mona Lisa to the Flemish masterpieces at the Rijksmuseum, from the Dead Sea Scrolls to the treasures of the new Museo Egizio in Turin, from the Venus de Milo to the Rondanini Pietà.
