iF Design Awards

2025

The IBM Quantum System Two has been awarded the iF Design Gold Award. Developed by Universal Design Studio alongside the IBM team and Map Project Office, the project exemplifies a seamless fusion of innovation and functionality. Goppion engineered the metal and glass cladding around the central enclosure housing the cryostat and the quantum processor, and surrounding electronics. We also provided custom-made cabinets, the partially reflective glass corners that define the system’s space, as well as the LED ceiling suspended from above the entire system footprint, which illuminates the space.
