Cantilevered opening mechanism running on self-supporting tracks
Exhibit requirements have led to the development of large box cases made entirely of glass and opened by a sliding mechanism located in the base. But the considerable weight of these cases has often meant putting undue strain on the moving parts.
The standard solution
These opening mechanisms usually consist of tracks that allow only limited movement, with extra wheels resting on the floor to bear the weight.
Goppion’s system of self-supporting tracks is specially designed to bear this load and does not need auxiliary wheels resting on the floor. The display unit is totally accessible, to the great benefit of those mounting the display or carrying out maintenance work.
