Display case with separate climate-controlled chambers

The problem

Today’s contextualized, thematic displays often entail an assortment of objects with varying conservation and humidity requirements being arrayed together in a single large display case.

The standard solution

Objects with special requirements are often separated from others under a glass bonnet that becomes a “display case within a display case”, but this is not an ideal solution as the extra layers of glass often make the enclosed object harder to see.

Goppion’s innovation

Goppion has devised a concept that creates separate microclimates within the same display area without the need for physical barriers.
Apparatus set into the edge of the display case generates onedirectional or laminar air flows with specific characteristics and projects them in the desired direction. This concept is undergoing further development.
