Anti-collapse system for glass panes in box cases
The problem
Glass box frames are often made by just gluing the panes together. But this construction method runs a considerable risk of the adhesives giving way if the case is subjected to mechanical stress – knocks, bumps and especially seismic tremors.
The standard solution
Metal reinforcements can lend a frame rigidly, but they are not suitable for certain case designs.
Goppion’s innovation
Goppion has developed a system that uses heavy-duty wires concealed in a milled groove along the upper edge of the panes, preventing them shifting in the event of any sudden jolt, blows or seismic tremors
