QT Class – Table Display Cases for Museums – System Q Museum Installations - Goppion

Table display cases
QT Class

QT class models are table-shaped. As with the models of the QB class, these cases display objects in an all-glass box.

QT display cases can be island models (QT-I), placed against a wall (QT-W) or wall-hung (QT-H).

They have a lift opening or open via rotation on the horizontal axis.

The evolution

QT models originated with the display cases built in 1990 for the Sala dei Corali (Choir-Book Room) at the Museo di Santa Maria Novella in Florence. These were conceptualized and designed in collaboration with the Opificio delle Pietre Dure (Workshop of Semiprecious Stones). The most advanced representation of these display cases can be seen in the examples created in 2013 for the Art Institute of Chicago.
