Reopening of the Archaeological Museum of Ioannina, Greece

November 2008

The Archaeological Museum of Ionnina, Greece, reopens today after a long and great restoration. The structure hosts rare finds from various periods: from the Paleolithic to the glorious Pirro times, until the late Roman era. Most of these findings comes from the famous archaeological site of Dodoni, located south of Ioannina, while the remains of Roman origin arrive from Nicopolis, settlement founded by Augustus after the victory at Actium and his proclamation to emperor.

For the Archaeological Museum Laboratorio museotecnico Goppion designed implementation of all cases, studying also the exhibit engineering.
