Giancarlo Cotrufo

Cotrufo has a degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in energy from the Politecnico di Milano. He also has a diploma as an industrial technician with a mechanical specialization.

For 10 years he worked as an Operations Associate Director in a multinational company providing services to industry.

He joined the Goppion team in 2007 and today he’s a Senior Project Manager for the French market.

Some of the most recent projects he has overseen include the gallery of the Venus de Milo in the Louvre in Paris, the Terrasse Lille in the Orsay museum, the department of Islamic art in the Louvre, the Mucem and  Musèe d’Histoire in Marseille and the Musèe Unterlinden in Colmar. He currently is in charge of maintaining the display case for the Mona Lisa in the Louvre in Paris.

He works closely with Alessandro Goppion and Armando Gioria to follow the development of preventative-conservation projects and, specifically, microclimatic control issues for display cases and making sure they meet international standards.
